The Bible opens with God describing His creation of the heaven and the earth; and throughout the whole of the remainder of the Bible His supreme position as Creator and Sustainer of the universe is set before us. God, all-powerful and all-wise, is a living God Who takes care of, and delights in, all that He has made.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).
“Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day” (Genesis 1:31).
“He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens at His discretion” (Jeremiah 10:12).
Jesus the son of God and his apostles endorsed every detail of the Genesis account of creation.
“But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female’” (Mark 10:6).
Thus it is untenable to believe some parts of the Genesis account whilst rejecting others. We should share with Jesus and his earliest followers their belief in the Genesis Creation record.
